Additional information and requirements
Clothing - We ask that you send your child to pre-school in comfortable and easily washable clothes. Aprons are provided for painting and messy play, but accidents happen.
As one of our main aims is to help children become more independant, simple clothing that a child can take off or put on themselves is useful when they go outside or to the toilet.
If you wish your child to wear a cycle helmet when playing on the pre-school bikes, please feel free to bring along their own (clearly labelled).
Food - We provide a healthy mid-morning snack, consisting of fruit and raw vegetables, along with a drink of milk or water.
If you require your child to stay for lunch then a packed lunch will need to be provided which contains no whole nuts, sweets or chocolate.
Toilet training - We are happy to take children that have begun toilet training but would ask if you could send your child in with plenty of spare clothes just in case.
If your child is still in nappies, please could you supply your child's own nappies, wet wipes and cream (if necessary) in a named bag. A spare set of clothing is recommended.
Arriving and departing - Parents must sign their child in and out of pre-school each session. You are welcome to stay with your child until you feel he or she is settled and happy enough for you to leave. We are always ready to talk to you if you have any concerns or information about your child that you feel is important.
If you are unable to collect your child please tell the pre-school who will collect in your place. An unorthorised person cannot collect your child. Should it be the case that you are late to collect your child due to unforeseen circumstances you should contact the staff on the pre-school mobile number.
Outdoor activities and welly walks - We aim to be outdoors as much as possible so please provide your child with suitable clothes for the season including sunscreen in the summer. We also like each child to have a pair of named wellies at the pre-school. (All items should be clearly named)
